In February 2024, DGC Electrical Solutions (Daniel Centracchio) undertook a small electrical repair job so well and efficiently that we decided to retain them for a complete rewiring of our 500 year old, Grade 2 Star listed, large, timber-framed manor house. A thorough survey by DGC Electrical Solutions revealed the appalling and frankly dangerous state of the existing wiring which had not been updated since the 1950s or earlier. Having provided a detailed room-by-room estimate of the work required and costs involved, and discussed all aspects of the work required to undertake the complex project, the rewiring was done by Daniel and his colleague, Max, in September 2024 over a total period of 20 working days. Daniel and Max arrived punctually each day at 8.30 am and worked through until 4.30-5.00 pm with only a short break for lunch. They liaised with us throughout the work when particular choices had to be made e.g. of wiring routes, and kept us fully informed of what was being done and why. They were particularly considerate of the disability / mobility issues suffered by one of us and ensured that essential services, such as refrigeration, security systems and even television were never without power. They were very mindful of the need to avoid or minimise disruption and any damage to the fabric of the building, and recommended up-to-date technological solutions to problems that would otherwise have been presented by the construction idiosyncrasies of the property. Any dust and debris were cleaned up and bagged every day. The need for any plastering / redecoration work was kept to a minimum and did not involve us in incurring any additional costs beyond small expense on DIY materials. Above all, Daniel and Max were polite and friendly, and demonstrated care and pride in the quality of their work which they undertook with good humour. We have no hesitation in recommending DGC Electrical Solutions for complex rewiring works.

This was a more complicated job than originally seemed when I bought the doorbell but Daniel persisted with the various hurdles we came across when trying to get it to work the way I wanted. We had 2 main bedroom lights not working, so he had to diagnose why that was and fix if possible. The fault was traced to some faulty wiring to a connector that was added by the contractor we hired to upgrade our bathroom. He showed me photographic evidence of the problem and also suggested making the wiring more safe by using a better connector, which we asked him to proceed with. In addition, one of our bedrooms had an old light switch to turn the main light on which he said he could also replace if we wanted to, which we agreed for him to do. All diagnosed and fixed in 1 hour
